National Water Package Qualifications

Nationally Recognised Training for the Water Industry.

As a Registered Training Organisation (TOID 21747) committed to providing up-to- date, quality education, Water Training Australia has developed a strategic enrolment process that requires our learners to be currently working in the water industry and approved by their employer to enrol with WTA.

This enrolment strategy enables operators to immediately apply the theory and skills taught by our highly skilled trainers in their workplace, and ensures training is responsive to current industry needs and relevant to our clients.

Our approach to face-to-face learning

Our face-to-face delivery model is practical, straightforward and uses workplace situations to train learners. We meet learners where they are, whether that’s in the classroom, on-site or in a workplace training environment. This delivery model allows our trainers to build trust, respond to questions in real time and guide learners through hands-on tasks.

2026 Completed NWP30222 Certificate III Water Industry Operations 2026 WIOA New Operator of the Year
From 13/02/2024 to 16/03/2026 I was enrolled in and successfully completed NWP30222 Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, Group A: Specialist Elective - Catchment and Dams with Water Training Australia. This specialisation covers the skills and knowledge required to monitor, operate and maintain water catchment and dam operations. I had just started a new job, and part of the job was completing my Certificate III in Water Industry Operations. Right from the start found it really interesting. I was learning about a topic I had almost no prior knowledge of and now am confident in and use in my everyday life at work. I have changed in many ways over this course. I am a much more confident person now and I have learnt how to do more hands-on tasks and improved my problem-solving skills through many experiences within the course.

Coming onboard as a Training Officer within my local Water Authority, I had plenty of experience in the training sector but nothing within the Water Sector. After my first interactions with Water Training Australia it was clear that they were very much Industry experts in this field, from course planning to enrolment right through to completion, WTA were there to help. With WTA's seamless tailor-made training for our organizational needs, they give our staff the theory together with the hands-on practical training they are require in managing our assets and delivering safe clean drinking water to our community.
